A stunning example of the iconic Patek Philippe Calatrava, reference 3919, arguably the most iconic dress watch ever made. The "Clous de Paris" bezel, crisp black leaf hands and Roman numerals, and, of course, the exquisite 33mm 18k yellow gold case are all examples of this. The watch is powered by the manual wind Cal.215 movement & comes complete with the original Patek Philippe outer and inner watch box.
The Patek Philippe Calatrava was first introduced in the early 1930s, and its popularity grew steadily throughout the 1930s and 1940s, until it achieved legendary status in the 1960s. The reference 3919 was introduced in 1985 and quickly became one of Patek Philippe's best-selling watches in the 1980s and 1990s. Despite the fact that the reference was eventually discontinued in 2006, it has maintained its legendary reputation as one of Patek Philippe's mosttimelesswristwatches.
