Early examples such as the ref. 6094, 6294 and 6494 often sported classic Rolex dauphine sword style hands and roulette date wheels (where the colour of the date alternatives between black and red), the first examples did not include the Cyclops magnification lens.
The most well known reference is the Oysterdate Precision ref. 6694, produced from around 1958 to the late 1980s. The 6694 came in different dial colours including silver, blue, black and our favourite champagne. Earlier examples had the dauphine sword hands whilst later ones had more modern stick hands.
With its understated looks and vintage 34mm case, the Rolex Oysterdate Precision offers a perfect entry to Rolex manual wind vintage watches for the guy that prizes understated style over overt statement pieces.
